waiting for smudgewoozle drawing

Heaven and hell are within us, and all the gods are within us. This is the great realization of the Upanishads in the ninth century B.C. All the gods, all the heavens, all the worlds, are within us. They are magnified dreams, and dreams are manifestations in image form of the energies of the body in conflict with each other. That is what myth is. Myth is a manifestation in symbolic images, in metaphorical images, of the energies of the body in conflict with each other. This organ wants this, that organ wants that. The brain is one of the organs.

does this mean astanga is a myth, or at least works that way? only in that it deals with the energies of the different organs in our booties/bodies? in conflict with each other in order to pacify/clarify them?

Ah! You dear donkey, I love the new masthead.

Feeling ok these days? Sending you the gros bisou, comme d'hab.

annabella said...

are we sure that if we draw smudgewoozles, they will not evaporate?

eeyore said...

anna, i am a little worried about just that. hi y'all! (i've been in texas)

susananda said...

Dude... what is with the girl in the long iyengar-style triko ??

Love the Ganesh, though.

eeyore said...

eeyore said...

i love new mexico, land of enchantment and roasted green chiles.

annabella said...

ohhhh I like Texas. And Texans as well. Well, some Texans. The ones that are sexy with their drawls. Plus they have good barbecue.

Old Gregg!

Eeyore I think Napa in August? Hoping? A gathering of the smudgewoozles?

I WILL MEET SNOOPY IN PERSON!

joy suzanne said...

Oh! Jealous!

new mexico does actually seem enchanted. and i LOVE green chiles. i had a green chile cheeseburger, even though i'm a vegetarian, and green chiles in my huevos rancheros. i went to white sands, which was amazing. i hope someday to have gone to all of the national parks in new mexico, so far i've been to three or four.

ok, wait.

i'm not here. i'm writing my dissertation. please pretend you don't see me, like a smudgewoozle?

but i just want to confirm: Ganesh is still there holding up the world at 123 Valencia street, yes?

My toe needs to know.

That building (my brother's life changed on the 2nd floor, I broke my toe on the first) is heavy in many ways. Ganesh is holding up a lot.

He remains... or is in remains?

Ok. TMI. Sorry. I am glad you came in safely from the lone star.

I've got another day off today. What shall I do? maybe another shoe photoshoot. I just feel like playing dress-up lately. Pretty pretty princess.

Eeyore, tu me fais rire--le commentaire que tu as laissé chez Elise (then ur a donkey!) Je te jure. C'est comment, être adoré par tout le monde? Ça te convient?

ld said...

I'm sorry Snoopy is sad. Please give him a hug from me.

eeyore said...

i will, ld, thanks:)

susananda said...

Poor snoopy. Basset hug.

I used to live in 4th. Now I don't, and there is a shala there. Sadness.

I wasn't even practising then, hard to imagine. Was married and doing an MA. Sigh.

annabella said...

I was going to be ethnocentric and say lets all meet in NY, or LA (OWL SHALA) but... Paris does sound quite lovely. Croissants and brie and whimsical dalliances, wine, and I BET there are bassets and shibas in Paris, mais oui!

JS you ARE a pretty pretty princess!

eeyore said...

um, yes. i've seen those flickr pictures:) i'm serious, paris is where we should rendez-vous.

chitta vritti said...

poor Snoopy... hope he enjoyed groomingdales and got some of that sadness washed away for a moment! big hugs to all bassets and donkeys and lionesses and owls!

oh, and yes Eeyore, sadness that you aren't coming :´-( but js got me the link and i will try to go there!

Anna, i will have croissants, brie and wine for all of us! (we'll have to see about the whimsical dalliances) AND i will keep eyes open for any shibas or bassets. eventually we'll find a good opportunity for rendez-vous, either there or NYC or LA, promise!

have a great expedition, chitta!
